Varese City Center Parking Garage: Professional Resin Flooring Restoration
The strategically positioned 1,000-space parking facility at Piazza della Repubblica 19 sits in the heart of Varese’s city center. Our comprehensive restoration project focused on Level -1, covering extensive surface areas with specialized parking garage flooring solutions.
Project Scope
Main surface area: 4,400 m² of parking deck restoration
Additional areas: 250 m² of landings, flat ramps, and horizontal signage zones
Treatment approach: Uniform integral coating across driving lanes and parking spaces.
Technical Challenge
Drawing from experience with other levels, we addressed the demanding requirements of underground parking environments. The flooring system needed to deliver:
Waterproof protection with integrated anti-slip properties for safe vehicle operation
Superior wear and abrasion resistance against continuous vehicle traffic
Exceptional mechanical stress tolerance
Chemical resistance against automotive fluids and de-icing agents
Solutions according to EN 1504-2
The solution we installed is the SYSTEM TESTED and CERTIFIED directly by Mapei spa, Mapefloor Parking System ID.
It is a multilayer, continuous elastic polyurethane system for paving indoor parking areas, compliant with the requirements of OS 13 and concrete surface protection systems according to EN 1504-2 with good crack-bridging, non-slip effect, resistant to heavy wheeled vehicle traffic.
It is also characterised by excellent wear resistance to mechanical stress in general, chemical aggression from oils, fuels, de-icing salts, lubricants, diluted acids and bases, and saline solutions in general. Average thickness 2-2.5 mm.
Resin floors for underground or multi-storey car parks are an ideal choice to ensure durability and resistance to wear from vehicle traffic.
These coatings are made using advanced technologies, contribute to the LEED credits of the structure.
