Parking Flooring Prima Pavimenti
The strategically located 1000-space parking garage is located at Piazza della Repubblica No. 19, right in the centre of the city of Varese. The project involved the resurfacing of Level -1. The paving surface to be restored was approximately 4400 square metres in addition to 250 square metres of landings and flat ramps and horizontal signage. On this floor, in light of the experience of the other levels, we carried out a uniform integral treatment of both the lanes and the parking spaces.
The challenge again this time was to restore the surface to an optimal state to withstand over time all the stresses typical of this environment, to achieve a high resistance to wear and abrasion caused by the continuous transit of vehicles and an excellent resistance to mechanical stress and chemical aggression. This solution also waterproofs the treated surfaces with an anti-slip effect, for safe driving.
The resin cladding was customised according to the customer’s needs, with colours, pictograms and lettering to characterise the parking spaces, and with road markings to regulate the traffic flow within the car park.
Solutions according to EN 1504-2
The solution we installed is the SYSTEM TESTED and CERTIFIED directly by Mapei spa, Mapefloor Parking System ID.
It is a multilayer, continuous elastic polyurethane system for paving indoor parking areas, compliant with the requirements of OS 13 and concrete surface protection systems according to EN 1504-2 with good crack-bridging, non-slip effect, resistant to heavy wheeled vehicle traffic.
It is also characterised by excellent wear resistance to mechanical stress in general, chemical aggression from oils, fuels, de-icing salts, lubricants, diluted acids and bases, and saline solutions in general. Average thickness 2-2.5 mm.
