Screeds

Traditional and Self-levelling

Solid, durable foundations
Application versatility
Excellent workability and quick installation

The screed is the surface layer on which the finishing floor covering is laid (e.g. resin, PVC, or tile covering). It has a thickness ranging from 1 to 8 cm.

A perfect floor starts with a well-made screed: Prima Pavimenti creates professional subfloor screeds to prepare stable, flat surfaces that are ready for the installation of any type of flooring.

Excellent flatness and uniformity of the surface, which facilitates the laying of floors
Reduced application and drying times, allowing construction or renovation work to be completed more quickly
High mechanical strength
Stress resistance

Traditional Screed

Traditional sand and cement screed is made using materials produced directly on site by mixing sand, cement and water. This mixture can be prepared manually rather than using automated systems, such as silos and mixers. This equipment can also be mounted on lorries, serving as a means of transport, as well as a mixing and pumping plant. There are different types:

traditional sand and cement screeds;
quick-drying sand and cement screeds;
pre-mixed;
fast-drying premixed;
pre-mixed, lightened with expanded clay.

Self-levelling Screed

These are a type of screed made with cement, sand and chemical additives which, when mixed with water, make the mixture very fluid and easy to level.

Self-levelling screeds based on anhydrite (anhydrous gypsum sulphate).
