Resin horizontal signage

Clear paths, efficient work

Lasting safety
Excellent cost-performance ratio
Dustproof and non-slip

Choosing the right resin coating for internal company floor signage in factories and warehouses is crucial for effective execution and usability.

Before creating the signage, it is necessary to research the current regulatory framework. In terms of safety, the company traffic plan must comply with Legislative Decree 81/2008. European Union Directive 92/58/EEC stipulates that companies must have horizontal signage in warehouses.

Resin floor signage is an essential part of workplace safety, highlighting the layout and indicating traffic flows and the destination of the various areas, thereby ensuring the safety of people and vehicles.

.

Horizontal stripes, vehicle lanes, directional arrows, and pedestrian crossings on the ground, work area boundaries, optimise workflow and highlight danger zones or evacuation routes, helping to control vehicle traffic.

Sometimes, signage on industrial flooring is created using very cheap paints. This choice means that it will not last long and generates additional costs and disruption, as sections that have deteriorated or are no longer visible due to repeated passage of goods handling vehicles often have to be repainted.

It is therefore best to entrust the creation of signage to established companies that use epoxy and polyurethane resin systems, specifically designed for this purpose, which guarantee a much longer life than other materials.
The layout of the signage can be customised, as can its appearance, including the creation of company logos.

Durable: high resistance to wear and abrasion caused by continuous vehicle traffic
Resistant to most chemicals
VOC free: safe for the environment as it does not contain solvents
The costs of ongoing repairs are taken care of.

Using epoxy and polyurethane resins, applied manually in multiple layers, enables the creation of long-lasting horizontal flooring signage that is more durable than traditional, cheaper paints.

If the substrate is concrete, it may be necessary to apply a primer;
one or two coats of resin in the chosen colour;
transparent protective finish, if required.

Regulatory framework

Directive 92/58/EEC is in force in the European Union. This directive is binding in all EU countries and is therefore part of national legislation.
According to this directive, employers are required to apply horizontal signage to flooring when there are risks that cannot be avoided by other technical means of protection. Areas where there is a risk of collision with obstacles and falling objects, and persons must be marked.
The directive describes the colours of safety signage that can be used for both signs and lines to be marked on the floor:

ColourMeaningDirections and details
RedProhibition signs, Danger, Alarm, Fire-fighting materials and equipmentDangerous behaviour, Halt, Arrest, Evacuation, Identification and location
Yellow OrangeWarning signsAttention, caution/verification
